General

 

Renter Liability: is for the entire costs of all damages or losses without limitation including all taxes and insurance deductible(s).

 

1- Security Deposit: Assuming there is no damage, and no extra cleaning is required, this payment is a fully refundable deposit returned within 1 week from your departure date. The payment is used to cover the costs of any damages/losses to the property/appliances or any other costs.

 

2- Cleaning: The Renter must leave the cottage in the general condition it was found in. Failure to do so, will result in an extra cleaning charge being applied against the security deposit.

 

3- Garbage/Recycling:  The Renter agrees to remove all garbage and recyclables from the cottage upon departure. Garbage and recycling bags are provided. There is dump approximately 2 mins away on highway 118 (West Guildford Landfill) and another dump in Haliburton (Halliburton Landfill). There is a PURPLE card used to access the dump. Failure to return this card to the property will result in charges being applied against the security deposit.

 

4- Cancellation: 100% refund 60 days before check in. There are no reimbursements given for early departures, missed days or late arrivals.

 

5- Number of Persons: The maximum number of persons using the cottage at any one time is 8 adults or 10 with kids. No outdoor camping or auxiliary accommodation facilities are permitted.  The Renters agree to abide by such limitations; if not, the Renters and guests will be asked to leave with no refund. 

 

6- Parking in driveway for up to 7-8 vehicles.

 

7- Internet and streaming services provided: information will be provided in the cottage manual along with access codes. Smart TVs are in the cottage and connected to streaming services (Netflix and Amazon Prime) that are paid for by the owners. Any additional charges applied to the accounts will be deducted from your deposit.  

 

8- Smoking:  No smoking is permitted within the Cottage.  If smoking is done outside, all cigarette butts and garbage must be cleaned and removed from the property upon departure.  Failure to do so will result in extra cleaning costs charged to your deposit.

 

9- Indemnification: The Renter(s) hold the Cottage Owner(s) free of all liabilities and rent the cottage at their own risk. The Renter(s) agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the cottage owner(s) against any liability for personal injury or personal property damage sustained by any person (including the Renters guests). The Renter(s) and their Guest(s) assume all risks such as injury or loss.  

 

10- Subletting: is not permitted.  

 

11- Linens and towels: Blankets/comforters, bed linens, pillows, bath towels, paper towel, and toilet paper are provided complimentary.  

 

12- Pets: There is a pet charge of $25 for each pet and are welcome with prior approval from the owners. Please clean up after your pets, if not a deduction will be applied to your security deposit. Maximum of 2 pets per stay. 

 

*Please note, once payment is received in full, the cottage manual containing all required information will be sent to you.

 

During the summer (May long weekend to Oct long weekend) available for use include:

- dock

- 2-person kayak 

- 1-person kayak

- 2 – Stand up paddle boards

- 5-person pedal boat

- patio chairs & table

- 5 adult and 3 children PFD's

 

Available for use all year round:

- fire-pit (complementary firewood)

- lawn games

- BBQ (complementary propane)
